Aon Internships and Placement Programmes
Summer Internship and Industrial Placement Year Programmes are designed to give you an insight into Aon business, an understanding of the culture of the company and an invaluable opportunity to help Aon forge lasting legacies with worthy causes through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
During your placement, you will be contributing to Aon business and taking on real responsibility. You will be supported by a ‘buddy’, a mentor and comprehensive training to give you the necessary technical knowledge and business skills.
In line with CSR policies, the company will also challenge you to make a difference. You will be involved in group charity projects which help local communities and will allow you to demonstrate your ability to work with clients, as well as develop team-working and communication skills.
You will be fully supported by the people you meet to maximise your exposure to the business and help you to get the most out of your time with Aon.
Around Aon businesses, the formal Internship and Industrial Placement Programmes are viewed as a high-potential pipeline for the Graduate Programmes. As a participant, you will be automatically considered for a place on the Graduate or future Internship Programmes based on your performance and achievements during your time with the company, with no further assessment necessary.

- Actuarial Consulting – Pensions
- Investment Consulting
- In point Solutions Group
- Insurance, Reinsurance and Risk Management
- Health & Benefits Broking and Consulting
Industrial placements are available in:
- Actuarial Consulting – Pensions
- Investment Consulting
Training and development
During your placement, you will be contributing to the business, taking on real responsibilities and having to manage your work effectively. You will be assigned a mentor to help guide you through your placement and answer any questions you have about your work and our business.
Technical training and business skills will be a core part of your Programme, ensuring you leave the company with a better understanding of the professional world and how best to make your way in it.
Although an Internship or Placement Year does not guarantee a place on our Graduate Programme, a significant proportion of the candidates have gone on to successfully embark on a career with Aon.
Requirements
If you are at university, predicted to gain at least a 2:1 or equivalent qualification, and have a high level of commercial awareness, lots of ambition and an enthusiastic approach, apply for one of the programs offered by Aon.
