Asian Development Bank Internship 2018

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a regional development bank established on 19 December 1966, which is headquartered in the Ortigas Center located in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines.

The company also runs 31 field offices around the world to promote social and economic development in Asia.

The bank admits the members of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP, formerly the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East or ECAFE) and non-regional developed countries.

Internship overview

The Internship Program helps ADB enhance a platform to exchange and generate knowledge with external partners.

It also enables ADB to identify potential future staff. The topic of this internship is Comparative Analysis of (multilateral development bank) MDBs’ Best Practices on the Management of (board of directors) BOD Official Travel.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the direction of the general operations of the Bank. It exercises all powers delegated to it by the Board of Governors. Part of its job is to conduct official travel as representatives of ADB’s member countries. The assignment will involve looking at best practices and studying occurrence or frequency of exceptions to the Bank’s implementing travel guidelines.
