The Europas 2016

Over 1,000 of Europe’s key movers and shakers in tech — handpicked and closely curated — will be attending the Europas 2016 daytime conference and evening awards ceremony.

In one single day, you will see great speakers from the US and Europe, deep-dive into niche discussion groups relevant to your business, network with Europe’s key founders and investors, and enjoy a stunning awards dinner and party.

Instead of a massive anonymous “congress”, the majority of The Europas delegates are invited key players and experts, keeping the numbers low and the networking high quality.

About The Europas

Founded in 2009 and still run today by Mike Butcher, The Europas are the premier awards for Europe’s hottest tech startups.

While it concentrates on the newest companies on the scene, it also brings together the mid and late stage technology startups, as well as leading investors and media in the EMEA region. It’s a genuine, editorially driven, independent awards, judged by the community itself.

The Awards celebrates the most forward-thinking, progressive and innovative tech companies across over some 20+ categories. Startups can apply for an award or be nominated by someone else. It is free to enter or be nominated.

For the last five years, The Europas has grown into a fun and fantastic awards ceremony, followed by an awesome after-party and networking. The Europas is a chance for you and your team to celebrate a year of hard of work in one incredible night in London.

It consists of a daytime, fun and fascinating conference, as well as an evening awards ceremony, party and after-party.

Why attend?

The Europas is designed to maximise networking opportunities with your peers, investors, and media.

With 5-10 or so startups nominated across each category, it’s the handiest possible opportunity to see who’s doing what, and more importantly what they’re not doing. Most attendees are there to network and make new contacts in a convivial environment.

There are a few times each year that Europe’s tech community gathers in one room, and when they do, prices can sometimes exceed €2,000 a ticket for a conference. The Europas is at least ten times less than that.

PathFounders

The Europas is accompanied by a parallel track called PathFounders, the exclusive event for startup Founders, in particular, those at an early stage.

PathFounders will bring together Founders and Investors in a series of exclusive networking experiences, on the days either side of The Europas.

Who’s coming?

The attendee list is a who’s who of Europe’s most exciting and innovative startups, investors, media and more. From previous winners like Soundcloud, Mind Candy, King.com, and Wonga, to some of Europe’s latest hottest startups.

Who are the Judges?

We know that the title of “Europe’s Most Prestigious Tech Awards” comes with great responsibility – to make sure that Europe’s best startups are judged by the most knowledgeable and experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and journalists in tech.

They include YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim, Troy Carter (manager of none other than Lady Gaga), investors from Accel, Balderton, and Google Ventures, and journalists from The Next Web, TechCrunch, Wired, and more.
