The Forum takes place during the European Youth Week (EYW), which is organized by the European Commission once every two years.
EYW encourages youth to engage in Europe’s activities and decision-making processes. It does so while allowing young people to talk with leaders and share their opinions and projects with them.
“Voice your vision” is the 2024 slogan for the EYW with the main focus on the civic engagement of youth in Europe and putting democracy into action.
Eligibility for the European Forum of Young Leaders
The European Forum of Young Leaders invites youth workers, youth leaders, youth project managers, and youth policymakers to join.
In order to take part, applicants need to be proficient in English and reside in any of the following countries:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine abd Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries: Austria, Belgium – DE, Belgium – FL, Belgium – FR, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Western Balkan countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, KOSOVO * UN RESOLUTION, Montenegro.
Costs and other important information regarding the Forum
The hosting National Agency/SALTO covers your accommodation, food costs and the participation fee. The organization also reimburses your flight/train expenses as well.
You can check if your country is involved in this project in your country’s National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre.
