If you’d like to contribute to the transformation of climate change but lack essential technical, financial, or political resources, Youth4Climate (Y4C) is here to help.

Apply with your solution and have a chance to receive:

  • up to US$ 30,000  to implement their solutions
  • technical support
  • support from a mentor to develop their proposal
  • opportunity to present during the next Y4C events

Y4C is looking to award funding to approximately 50 solutions in one of the five areas:

  • Climate and Environmental Literacy: the role of education and literacy in addressing challenges of the climate crisis. Solutions within this area include formal education, non-formal education, and informal learning.
  • Sustainable Energy: just and sustainable energy transition in line with Sustainable Development Goal 7. Solutions should use technology for affordable, reliable energy, and enhance efficiency in households, industries, and transportation.
  • Food and Agriculture: greenhouse gas emissions, food loss, waste, and insecurity due to climate impacts and growing demand. Solutions involve regenerative, resource- and climate-resilient production practices, or food processing, distribution, and consumption interventions.
  • Nature Assets: healthy ecosystems, forests, coral reefs, oceans, and habitats. Solutions in this area need to focus on conservation and restoration of precious natural assets.
  • Sustainable Consumption and Production: minimizing waste, keeping materials in circulation, and regenerating natural systems. Solutions should focus on lifecycle considerations, resource efficiency, and designing products for longevity, repairability, and recyclability.
