Youth makes up 40% of the world’s unemployed population.

As a result, the “Making Cents International” organisation is hosting it’s annual summit, where more than 460 attendees, consisting of youth leaders, policy makers and companies, are going to take part. At the Global Youth Economic Opportunities Forum 2015, young leaders are invited in order to provide a demand-driven Knowledge Management (KM) platform. The platform will aid in designing, implementing, and evaluating high-impact youth economic opportunity programs, policies and partnerships.

This year, the summit’s theme “Scale in Practice” is composed of five technical tracks:

  • Workforce Development
  • Enterprise Development
  • Financial Inclusions
  • Gender
  • Monitoring and Evaluation

Applicants from any country are eligible to apply for the Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit 2015.

The Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit, sponsored by CITI and RTI International, supports 5 interconnected activities, and offers participants an interactive session on exposure to the theory and practice of human-centered design (HCD) and design thinking methodologies. By going through exercises, the attendees will be informed about today’s critical needs and behavioral patterns of unemployed youth. The goal is for them to generate fresh ideas using lateral thinking methods.

Make sure to apply now and get to know the inside of Washington D.C.!
