I have been asked many times why there is not a single sign of stress on my forehead even after being an entrepreneur.

In response, I always give credit to smart, new-age technologies that I use and that have taken a load of stress off my brows.

Smart entrepreneurs use these technologies to streamline their process

In this blog, I am going to talk about how I make a smart use of technologies to streamline my business process, cut down the time of each task at my workplace, and offload the worries associated with my organization’s overall productivity.

The Internet

When there is a mention of technology, the Internet appears on top. It has successfully made an impressive mark on all aspects of our life. With each day passing, we get to hear about new internet-based technologies breaking the headlines.

With the help of the Internet, communication has become easy; getting information about a product, client or business has become even easier. Establishing a completely virtual, online business has become a lot easier, less confusing, and less time consuming just because of the Internet.

The internet has offered a great deal of convenience for us, the entrepreneurs. However, you will need to make sure that you are using it smartly.

It connects me to all my people, clients and partners whenever I there is a need. With internet-enabled handheld smart devices which are no less than a computer, you do not actually need to carry your heavy laptop with you all the time. You can manage your tasks on your mobile phone instead.

Now, you can go for days- and weeks-long business trips without having to worry about anything. The communication networks nowadays have become so strong, that data connection is always available to you, using which you can take updates regarding the happening at your office whenever you want.

It saves my time, and because of that, I can focus on growth strategies for my business. The only thing that stresses me out is: If I was born in the fifties, how would I have written this blog?

Cloud

Cloud is also an Internet-based technology, but so significant that I must give it a separate mention. Cloud computing, in fact, complements the conveniences offered by the Internet.

Cloud computing is an information technology (IT) paradigm that enables ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable system resources and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort, often over the Internet. Whoa, that’s too technical!

Put simply, cloud saves your time and efforts. It takes your comfort level to the height of clouds. It allows you to store, share, and manage your business data on a remote server securely. You or a user with a username and password can access the stored data. Google Drive is the perfect example of a cloud-based data sharing and management application.

Solutions like Cloud Management Suite offer an added level streamlining to my business process. This revolutionary technology looks into my all IT management needs.

It finds vulnerabilities and fixes them in a blink. From inventory management and software distribution to user rights management and reporting and analysis, this versatile process management application does it all. It helps in the management of my entire business infrastructure, in addition to reducing the cost and increasing the productivity of my business.

It is the benefits of cloud computing that 91% of SMBs say that cloud made it easier for them to satisfy the compliance requirements.

Reporting and tracking tools

Business process monitoring is associated with business process visibility and working with business activity monitoring to help managers and decision-makers gain insight into important processes taking place within an organization.

Introducing a tracking and reporting mechanism in a business process helps to ensure that previous records are broken, new records are set; and future performance is improved.

To boost the productivity, you will first need to measure your performance. For that, you will need to put in place an accurate, real-time reporting and tracking tool.

Website development & management

Your audience needs the Internet to access your website. And to make their experience great, you can opt for cloud hosting solutions. Did you see, the Internet and the cloud both got a credit in this paragraph too? The Internet connects everything!

You can build your website on a cloud server. There are available ready-made, customizable website templates for WordPress, Joomla, and Magento development platforms.

Mine is a WordPress website. It is responsive, looks good on any device, has modern-day features, and was ready in a few days. The templates come inbuilt with the latest design and development features to catch the attention of your visitors. You can customize your template as per your preference using your unique content.

Now you do not have to wait for weeks and months to get your website published on the World Wide Web. All thanks to the advancements in the field of website designing and development.

CMS, Content Management System these days is easy to manage. You can manage your website’s content from anywhere and anytime using a cloud-based website CMS.

Social media

Without social networks, a neoteric Internet-technology that has connected the world on the Internet, it is impossible for a business to flourish on a big scale.

Over 2.5 billion people use different kinds of social networks on the globe. And among those 2.5 billion people are my clients and customers too. It’s just I need to find them. And I know the way how to!

Social media is a great platform to promote your products and services amongst your target audience.

In fact, the Facebook Ads platform has come out to be more popular and effective than Google AdWords.

However, this is a thoroughly debatable topic, but in my opinion, Facebook and LinkedIn’s advertisement programs are better. Though, the significance of search engines cannot be denied in the success of an online business.

Social media gives better results than traditional marketing efforts. You can establish, polish and maintain your brand image right in front of your users and that has a remarkable effect of its own.

Promotions and marketing your products, engaging with your audience, solving out their problems and queries, and selling your products – you can do it all through your business pages.

To increase the productivity of my team, I never hesitate providing them with the necessary social media tools, tips, and due credits for their success.

Technology is evolving. It is evolving our lifestyle and business processes too. We are gradually becoming more dependent on technologies with the progressing time.

If the technologies are used for the right, they have the potential to pave way for massive success, which ultimately brings happiness and eradicates stress from our lives.

What do you think? What other tools can you think of to improve operations at your organization?
