Barclaycard Summer Analyst Internship
To get a sense of what it’s like to work at Barclays, experience it for yourself. The internships will immerse you in company’s work, culture and business. You’ll be working on live deals and real business challenges. You may also take a significant step towards securing a full-time opportunity with Barclays.
As a Barclaycard Summer Analyst, you’ll join the team that stands as the leading credit card issuer in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Nordics. At a time when success relies on innovation and visionary technological advancement, your enthusiasm and drive will help the company stay ahead of the curve.
It’ll be a challenge every day, but one where you’ll find huge support – from an expert team spread across 44 locations. Get an insight into this changing industry, and gain the training and support to explore where your talent belongs.
What to expect
During your nine-week internship programme, you’ll find your way within the Barclaycard function. With real responsibility from day one, you’ll find a line manager who’ll challenge and guide you, and a buddy and mentor to support you on your development journey.
Working with colleagues across teams and across diverse businesses, you’ll be fully encouraged to explore new opportunities. Many of the interns take on additional projects, work shadow and network in different teams to make the most of their experience with Barclaycard.
How you’ll develop
You’ll be surprised by what you can achieve in one summer. Barclaycard training programme will provide you with the perfect career foundations, building your leadership skills, technical know-how, and business acumen.
In week one of the internship, you’ll work with your line manager to set objectives that will challenge and develop you. From there, you’ll receive regular feedback and benefit from a support network that you can rely on every step of the way.
Throughout the internship, there will also be learning sessions organised to help you understand the whole picture of Barclays UK, with opportunities to hear from its senior leaders.
Finally, if you take part in the Summer Analyst internship programme, you’ll automatically be considered for a place on the Graduate Programme for the following year, after your graduation.
