Big-Data.AI Summit 2020
The Big-Data.AI Summit 2020 (#BAS20) is Europe’s leading conference on the practical applications of smart data in business.
As part of the hub.berlin business festival, #BAS20 will welcome 10,000 attendees keen on going beyond the hype and diving into the depths of the big data and AI revolution.
Over the course of two days, our participants and attendees can look forward to a broad and carefully selected programme that combines 45 hours of best practice presentations and workshops by over 200 leading specialists.
Big data and AI are cross-sector enabling technologies that empower several industries: From retail and logistics to health to smart manufacturing.
Their disruptive nature shapes businesses. Their socio-economic impact is felt throughout society. Keeping this in mind, #BAS20 primarily seeks to address four audiences:
- Executive leaders entrusted with implementing big data and AI strategies tailored to their business needs
- Experts keen on exploring new possibilities of applying big data and AI in their field of work
- Policy-makers, professionals and social commentators working on a sustainable ethical framework for big data and AI
- Scientists – especially from research institutes for applied sciences – seeking a fruitful dialogue with the industry
Sessions will focus on
- Big Picture: New strategies, technologies & innovations.
This cluster covers a number of important macro topics, from AI and big data business strategies to new machine learning methods to the role science fiction plays in opening up new frontiers.
You will look into practical use-cases where companies have embedded conversational AI solutions into their ecosystems and the quantification of the advantages of intelligent automation. It will also address the challenges that face companies while they execute theoretically sound AI strategies.
- Industries: Applications in leading industries.
This cluster is devoted to best-practice solutions that demonstrate how AI and big data are transforming industry branches.
You will dive into the intricacies of applying smart data algorithms in the financial sector. We showcase AI-based applications that are enabling radiologists to make better diagnoses and take on the challenges of predictive maintenance and showcase how AI empowers smart factories.
- Society: Ethical and political challenges.
This cluster addresses the ethical challenges as well as the economic and social dimensions of the AI revolution.
The thought-provoking sessions will pose questions like how much decision-making freedom should be given to algorithms in important areas, such as health, education, and personal finances. The role state regulations should play so to define a sustainable and ethical AI framework will be debated. This session will tackle everyday challenges facing companies in the area of data protection.
