#ESSMASummit 2017

The third ESSMA Summit will be organized in Parc Olympique Lyonnais (France), from 16 to 18 January 2017.

This must-attend stadium industry event is organized by ESSMA (European Stadium & Safety Management Association) in partnership with the EPFL, ECA, and the ICSS.

On day one, a Stadium Development Seminar will be organized with the goal to share the latest stadium & renovation projects in Europe.

Keynote speakers on stadium industry topics and in-depth workshops on trending stadium are combined with extensive stadium tours that aim to bring great insights to all participants.

The ESSMA Summit is a fantastic event to broaden your network in the stadium industry and to link-up with European colleagues in a unique setting.

Program

  • DAY 1 – 16/01 – Stadium Development Seminar

This seminar will focus on new stadium- and renovation projects in Europe. It aims to provide insights into different on-going stadium projects: stimulating the exchange of knowledge, showing the potential impact of stadium development & sharing future projects.

The seminar will be accessible for a limited number of people in order to stimulate interaction between stadium professionals.

  • DAY 2 – 17/01 – Keynote speakers & stadium tours

ESSMA invites owners, operators and developers of stadiums & arenas to bring together the European stadium industry. Inspiring keynote sessions from other industries are included to take a look from the brand activation side.

Extensive stadium tours will be organized by Olympique Lyonnais staff members. The level of Fan Experience will be highlighted by the connectivity of the stadium: Wi-Fi- mobile app, in-seat delivery.

  • DAY 3 – 18/01 – In-depth stadium management workshops

The last day of the ESSMA Summit offers 12 in-depth workshops on 4 stadium-related topics:

  • Fan Entertainment
  • Stadium Management
  • Safety & Security Management
  • Pitch Management

Each participant has the opportunity to define a personal workshop selection, based on individual preferences.

Venue

Parc Olympique Lyonnais

Located in the commune of Decines-Charpieu, 10km east of central Lyon, the stadium forms part of a complex stretched over 50 hectares and featuring a training ground for OL as well as hotels and office buildings.

This new generation stadium is open 365 days a year and offers a unique experience to its spectators in proposing connected services which revolutionize the “stadium experience”.

Constructed under the project name Grand Stade OL, the finished venue consists of three tiers. The arena replaced the Stade de Gerland, Lyon’s home since 1950. The stadium staged its first game on 9 January 2016, when Olympique Lyonnais beat Troyes 4-1 in Ligue 1. The stadium welcomed 6 EURO 2016 matches, of which the semi-final.
