Eligibility: small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) non-profit organizations (NPOs), or Student-led projects from high schools or secondary schools
Prize: US $1,000,000 per category

Are you ready to join the efforts of making a difference in the world? The Zayed Sustainability Prize offers a unique opportunity to showcase your solutions and projects. If you have any of those that address pressing global challenges, keep on reading, apply, and get a chance to win $1,000,000 for further development of your solution.

Eligibility for the Zayed Sustainability Prize

The Prize accepts applications in six categories: Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action, and Global High Schools. Each category offers a prize of $1,000,000, except for Global High Schools, which has a prize of $900,000, divided among six schools.

Applying organizations must be small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or non-profit organizations (NPOs). However, student-led projects can be either from high schools or secondary schools.

All applicants must showcase innovative, impactful, and inspirational sustainability solutions. Additionally, they must articulate a clear vision and long-term plan to further deploy their solution and scale up their impact. Furthermore, they should inspire others to follow suit by advancing sustainable and human development.

Evaluation Criteria and Benefits

All projects will be subjected to evaluation based on the following categories:

Innovation: Novel solutions or transformational approaches that generate significant positive impact.
Impact: Positive changes addressing social, economic, technological, and/or environmental challenges.
Inspiration: Reflecting Sheikh Zayed’s core values of sustainability and human development, inspiring others to advance sustainable actions.

Upon reaching the finalist stage, participants will receive invitations to the Awards Ceremony, with flights and accommodation expenses covered.

Subsequently, winners will be required to sign a contract with Masdar, delineating the relationship between the Prize and its recipients. Furthermore, prize funds must be directed toward the sustainability program or solution outlined in the submission.
