PAVE Student Design Competition 2022

The PAVE Student Design Competition promotes a real-world design experience for college-level students interested in pursuing careers in the design industry.

The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE), is a vital and effective organization that enables young talent to build successful careers in all aspects of the retail industry.

Its vision is to cultivate relationships with students and educators through financial assistance, top industry thinking, inspiration and mentorship.

Who should apply?

Student designers across the globe are encouraged to participate in designing and enhancing a mobile/pop-up, guest experience for City Relief, connecting friends and guests in need, with much-needed resources while creating an equitable sense of place for friends and neighbourhoods.​

To support the idea of a pop-up “Third Place,” your vision should be a transformative experience based on strong design concept development, defining a unique and supportive guest experience, while celebrating a flexible, sustainable, and buildable project.

Awards

PAVE Student Design Competition provides students with financial support and industry exposure:

• The top three concepts will be awarded ​​$3,000 USD each.
• $1,000 USD will be awarded to each of the winning students’ schools.
• Students will receive an invitation to attend the PAVE Gala in New York City (travel expenses paid) where the students will be recognized for their achievements.
• Students may even have the opportunity to work alongside one of the industry’s leading design and manufacturing teams to bring their concepts to life!
