Pure Talents Contest 2017
The Pure Talents Contest is conceived exclusively for designers who are still pursuing their studies or have just left university.
The competition, organized by Koelnmesse on the occasion of imm cologne, offers with the exhibition of the chosen participants the first step into the interior design business and furthermore awards prizes for the best three products in the competition.
The Pure Talents Contest, was formerly known as the [D3] Contest.
Organized by one of the largest trade show for interior design worldwide – imm cologne – the contest became the platform for emerging young designers where they could present their products to a wide audience and could achieve first contacts within the interior design business.
The hosting of the Pure Talents Contest at imm cologne 2018 will mark the fifteenth year for one of the most internationally renowned design competitions for young designers – the starting point for a successful design career for many of the chosen participants.
All the products included in the exhibition will be on display from 15 to 21 January 2018 at imm cologne 2018.
All selected participants will receive the Pure Talents Contest Nominee label. During the trade show, a total of 6,000 EUR will be awarded in prize money, of which:
- 3,000 EUR are reserved for the 1st Prize
- 2,000 EUR for the 2nd Prize
- 1,000 EUR for the third.
Over the last fourteen years all in all 416 products from 518 designers from all around the world have been shown in the exhibition.

This competition is open for prototypes of interior products. For every product (up to three products of the designer/ design group) you would like to register for the competition, the form needs to be filled in separately.
Applications will also be accepted from groups consisting of a maximum of three people which have to be named upon entry in the competition. For applications of groups every member of the group needs to fill in the form, name the according group participants and upload the product images as well as a valid certificate of matriculation or a university degree.
Submitted designs should have been produced within the last 12 months. Eligible for the pre-selection are products from the interiors sector, including:

- Wallpaper and textiles
- Kitchen and kitchen accessories
- Smart Home
