Are you passionate about supporting mental health in your community? Do you work with youth and feel the need to strengthen your skills in addressing mental health challenges?
If so, this training course is specifically designed to guide you on this journey while also helping you recognize when it is necessary to seek professional support.
Training Course by SALTO on Prioritizing Mental Health
Organized by the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation (Hellenic National Agency), the training course “Prioritizing Mental Health” offers a unique opportunity for youth workers, leaders, trainers, mentors, and project coordinators to develop vital skills and knowledge on addressing mental health challenges.
By participating in this comprehensive program, participants will not only gain practical insights but also learn psychological first-aid techniques. Moreover, they will have the chance to explore the importance of self-care while supporting others.
The training aims to:
- Develop a practical understanding of mental health and well-being, with strategies to integrate these into everyday life.
- Learn and apply psychological first aid effectively to support individuals in distress.
- Build practices that can be used to help those facing mental health challenges.
- Recognize the importance of balancing personal self-care with helping others.
- Share tools, resources, and good practices for mental health support.
- Create a collaborative environment for networking and forming future partnerships.
- Understand various mental health disorders and services.
Eligibility
This training course is designed for Youth workers, Youth leaders, Trainers and learning facilitators, Project coordinators, Mentors, and coaches. They should be:
- Actively involved in Erasmus+ Youth or European Solidarity Corps projects.
- Looking to enhance their competence in managing mental health challenges.
- 18 years or older.
- Able to communicate in English.
Costs and Accommodation
Participation Fee: National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps fund the project. Therefore, participation fees vary by country. To confirm the cost for your country, contact your NA or the SALTO Resource Centre..
Travel Reimbursement: Depending on your country of residence, your travel expenses may qualify for reimbursement. For further information, reach out to your NA or SALTO.
Venue & Accommodation: You will stay at the Akali Hotel in Chania, Greece, where the host organization will provide accommodation in twin rooms. In addition, they will cover all food and lodging expenses during the event
