Helppier – Portugal
Hugo Magalhães, CEO and founder of Helppier, worked as a software developer creating documentation, when he recognized the need of developing a solution that could simplify this area in many aspects both in terms of production and training costs. Therefore Hugo built a young and well trained team to develop a tool that allows the creation of manuals easy to write and use, without any infrastructure.

DealMatrix – Austria
At the end of 2015, Christoph Drescher founded the FinTech startup DealMatrix with the aim to unite the venture ecosystem and create transparency in early stage investments.
DealMatrix has developed a platform that makes startups more comparable by analyzing them according to standardized criteria that is relevant to investors and company scouts. Accordingly, investors quickly see whether an applicant matches their portfolio while company scouts find startups that fit their innovation focus. DealMatrix software further supports real-time pitch competitions and startup conferences from the application and selection of startups to jury/public scoring and data analysis. Project receives anonymized feedback regarding their jury/public scores at pitch competitions. CANARD – Spain
CANARD is an IoT Smart Cities / Smart Airports platform that allows a smart, green and cost effective process for real-time inspection and calibration of aeronautical Navigational Aids safety systems in airports using ultra-fast, auto-piloted, and zero emissions UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, or drones) to perform satellite-precise positioning and 100% accurate Flight Inspections, bringing to market a high potential technology ready for exponential international growth, and to disrupt the established value of the Flight Inspection´s €3.9B EUR/year global market.

S-Alert – Afghanistan
S-Alert is a platform which bridges teachers, students, and student’s parents in an electronic, well-managed and appropriate way to facilitate the educational communication and remove gaps which exist among students, parents and teachers. So that it enables parents to have all activities information which happens in the class instantly. This application paves the way for parents to keep track of their children precisely anytime and anywhere.
“Our team discussed about different problems regarding education in Afghanistan and lots of obstacles existing in this domain, one of the most critical problems and substantial issue in a war-stricken country like Afghanistan is lack of coordination and communication between the teachers in schools and the parents of their students, which is a big deal to be managed. Because most of the parents can’t keep track of their children and have no reports about their children’s activities, potentials, debilities and their progress at schools.”
Tamim is a semifinalist of GIST Tech-I (it is an annual competition for science and technology entrepreneurs from emerging economies worldwide) Also he won the First Award in iIabs competition in Afghanistan.
Climber – Portugal
Climber is a revenue management software to help hotel managers maximizing hotel revenues through dynamic rates of rooms and services. The solution, which is based on a SaaS (software-as-a-service), suggests to the hotel what is the best room to sell, the best price, the best period, the best customer segment and the best reservation channel, automating the entire tariff calculation process and according to a dynamic pricing policy.
“We want to help hotels maximize their revenue according to constant changes on demand peaks. Our innovative pricing elasticity model considers not only the history of hotel bookings, future and planned reservations and competition prices (what traditional RMS do), but also the effect of weather conditions, macroeconomic factors, behavior analysis of customers in the hotel website, online reputation of the hotel and the occurrence of events to calculate and recommend the best selling price of the rooms and services of the hotels. This technology is important because not only improves the daily work of the hotel manager by saving him time but also because it improves the revenue of the hotel.”
King of App – Spain
King of App is the first CMS for mobile applications; a proposal designed to cater to a growing market that requires agile, dynamic and robust tools. The option to create a CMS is the clearest response to an inflated environment, difficult to access for most and which runs a serious risk of becoming saturated by excess demand.
King of App allows the creation of mobile applications for free. However, exclusive services and certifications and quality controls have minimal cost to the user. On the other hand, the creation of an official store to purchase products (templates, modules, functions and services) will also allow the users to trade their creations, modules and templates.

Ukowapi was founded in Darmstadt, Germany in 2015. ‚ukowapi’ is Swahili and means ‚where are you?’
It is a mobile solutions startup that specializes in location-based services. The core service is providing reliable and verifiable digital addresses as an alternative to underdeveloped physical address systems.
