10. Call for Code Challenge

Eligibility: All developers, designers, and entrepreneurs who are over the age of 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is greater. Employees of IBM and DCC are not eligible to participate.
Over 100,000 developers from 156 nations competed in the Call for Code 2018 Challenge and built over 2,500 applications to reduce the impact of natural disasters through technology.
This year’s Challenge also introduces an emphasis on individual health and community well-being. This includes solutions that can reduce the risk of disease, improve access to data and the availability of resources, and address the mental health needs of those impacted before, during, and after disasters.
