1. The 9th UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, France

Costs: All arrangements related to the selected participants’ visa, travel to and from or stay in Paris are to be made by the participants themselves.

The forum will bring together over 500 young women and men from all over the world to focus on issues related to sustainable development and global citizenship and ensure that the voices of future generations remain front and centre of the new development agenda. Discussions at this years forum will focus on how young people, committing themselves as global citizens, can contribute to the creation of a sustainable planet.

2. IdeaLab: WHU Founders’ Conference 2015

Deadline: October 8, 2015
Eligibility: Applicants from any country are eligible to apply
Dates: October 9-10, 2015
Costs: €79 for students; €179 for young founders; €379 for corporates; €749 for investors (travel subsidies are available for participants coming outside Germany)
Venue: WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany

The IdeaLab conference is the largest student-run startup event of its kind in Europe, and is made by founders for founders. It mixes speeches from industry experts with hands-on workshops and plenty of opportunities for networking with founders, investors, and leading companies. Participants will also get to hear personal stories from founders and learn from their experiences and success stories.

3. Global Youth Economic Opportunities Forum 2015

The Global Youth Economic Opportunities Forum, sponsored by CITI and RTI International, supports 5 interconnected activities, and offers participants an interactive session on exposure to the theory and practice of human-centered design (HCD) and design thinking methodologies. By going through exercises, the attendees will be informed about today’s critical needs and behavioral patterns of unemployed youth.

“Digital Darwinism – Innovate the Game!” captures the spirit of time and describes one of the most important trends of the 21st century. The digital era brings both opportunities and risks. ,,Innovate the Game!” is not a classical approach, but describes developments such as social media platforms, that make fundamental changes to the way of communication and advertisement.

5. 10th Commonwealth Youth Forum in Malta

Eligibility:  Youth leaders between 18 and 29 years old with experience in youth advocacy or development, citizens of a Commonwealth country
Dates: November 21-25, 2015
Costs: Provided accommodation, meals and on-ground travel for the duration of the Commonwealth Youth Forum
Venue: Malta

The Commonwealth Youth Forum 2015, hosted by the Government of Malta, and co-organised with the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Youth Council, brings together youth leaders from across the Commonwealth to exchange ideas and share experiences, build skills and networks, identify the most vital challenges and opportunities facing young people today, and make recommendations to decision makers at the highest level.

6. International Youth Conference “European Values for the Future of the SEE Countries

Deadline: September 5, 2015
Eligibility: Youth workers, youth leaders, active young people, multipliers, representatives of youth networks from Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey
Dates: September 11-15, 2015
Costs: The conference costs are covered by the organizers including, materials, accommodation and meals. The travel cost will be repaid up to 80 %, on the basis of the cheapest (economy class) means of transport upon full attendance in the IYC activities and presentation of the original tickets, invoice and receipt.

Telenor Youth Forum 2015 invites youth from Telenor Group’s  13 markets in the Nordic region, Europe and Asia, to share their ideas and perspectives on the topic of Knowledge for All. Join the Forum, and engage in a dialogue and communication across boundaries — real or imagined, physical or mental — that aim to foster understanding, prosperity and ultimately peace.

8. World Forum for Democracy 2015 in Strasbourg, France

Deadline: September 2 (midnight CET), 2015
Eligibility: Participants aged between 16-30
Dates: November 18-20, 2015
Costs: Fully funded
Venue: Strasbourg, France

The Council of Europe invites applications from youth interested in participating in the World Forum for Democracy taking place from November 18 – 20 this year in Strasbourg, France. The Joint Council on Youth, decision-making structure co-managed by representatives of governments and youth NGOs, has agreed to involve the youth sector of the Council of Europe in the 2015 edition of the World Forum for Democracy.

9. Solutions Summit in New York, USA

Deadline: August 28 (to become a member of the Selection Committee); September 2, 2015 (to join as a participant)
Eligibility: Anyone who is in New York on September 27 and who does not need a US visa or can obtain it in less than 2 weeks
Dates: September 27, 2015
Costs: Costs must be covered by participants
Venue: New York, USA

The UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) offers all young participants an opportunity to take part in the Solutions Summit 2015, a catalytic gathering that will take place on September 27th, 2015 at UN Headquarters in New York City. It marks the beginning of a longer-term grassroots effort to lift-up exceptional innovators – technologists, engineers, scientists, who are developing solutions that address one or more of the 17 sustainable development goals.
